In the Fall of 2019 after 30 + years of painting, I tried to retire, but since then some old clients and galleries have continued to ask for more paintings. So now and then I pick up my brushes and do another painting. I've come to the conclusion that "retirement" isn't realistic in my case ... so besides the commissions, every once in a while I'll do a new painting just for the fun of it.
